Generation One – Tyler Ashworth 1.2
Thanks for all the views guys :) I really appreciate it, and it keeps me motivated to keep on going :D I forgot to mention, a big thank you to Vesna for making Luna, she is so much prettier then any sim I would have made.
I didn’t trust my eyes to keep above a certain point, so just opted to look away. It also gave me time for her news to settle in..
“An elf? Was you dropped on your head?” She sighed and looked away for a moment, before shaking her head.
“I knew it! You’re just like the rest! Either non believers, or haters..” Now it was my time to sigh as I told her to meet me in the living room.
Thankfully when she entered and sat down on the old furniture, she was covered a lot more, despite her ‘quirks’ I still found her insanely attractive after all.
“I meant what I said. I’m an elf, only a less known kind of elf. I’m a Noir elf. We tend to live in dark parts of the forest, often as it’s safer, as we all share my dark colouring.” She paused for a moment, stroking her neck, all the way up to those ears, which secretly, I found adorable on her.
“We don’t like to be seen as centuries ago we were hunted down to near extinction. So to live we became one with the land, and over the years acquired the ability to…to feel plants.” It all sounded so wonderful to me, who would give that life up?
“Then why are you here? Especially if you claim to hate my kind so much…”
It was then she dived into her story…A story I knew not many had the luxury of hearing.
We tend to stick closely to our family, especially with our numbers dropping. And because of this, there was a lot of pressure for us to find love.
I had no such family, but a group, a group of 8. It consisted of all of us without a home, 4 adults, a teen, a child and the twins. We were close, and had a few alliances with other groups, but I always had a longing for something….more.
The twins were are world, we couldn’t believe we found them all alone out here, I had forged a special attachment with little Oak, but Elm was just as cute, I still miss them deeply.
As you can expect most of the time was spent harvesting the crops we surrounded ourselves with. But like I said, I always wanted to see beyond our forest but the rules forbad this, so in the forest I stayed, learning the ways of the Noir Elves.
Until one night. I awoke to see a full moon…The nights air was cool, and everyone around me was fast asleep. so I did the one thing I shouldn’t. But the one thing I wanted…I stepped outside of the forest and into town. The other ‘groups’ in our race found out…and since then I’ve been in hiding.
One of my original group, Leaf, found me. But let me go, he knew this was what I wanted. So I ran, I ran so far, just letting my feet lead me….And they lead me to your home Tyler.
I saw you through the window…..I couldn’t explain it, but I felt you. Felt your compassion, and the sadness you felt…I realised we had a lot in common, so I decided to stick around for a bit….I never planned on ACTUALLY meeting you..
“So….You were watching me?” The only response I got was a slight nod as she twirled a lock of hair around her finger, the more I thought about it, the more elfish she acted….Sweet and innocent.
She stood and I soon followed, closing the gap between us.
“Please…..Please don’t tell. You’re all I have now…And…And I like being here..”
I smiled, realising I liked her being here to. I can understand why she kept her secret. But it changes nothing between us, so I stopped listening to my head, and started to act with my heart.
I put one hand to her cheek, and smiled as she blushed a little on her cheeks.
“Tyler? What are you doing?" She gushed.
“I’m letting you know how I feel. I know we haven’t known each other long…And I didn’t treat you the best…But we are the same on so many levels…And I have feelings for you Luna..”
And then it happened. Our lips met, and I felt sparks, no 4th of July fireworks! I know it sounds weird, but it was like we were…made for each other. Our hands fit in one another's perfectly, and her lips felt like…well home.
“Whoa…For a human..That was pretty good.”
It may have sounded snarky, but to us it was just ‘our’ thing. I insulted her, and she insulted me.. Because we were best friends, as well as lovers. Isn’t that the most important thing?
And just like are love grew, so did the plants, sure I didn’t talk to them like Luna suggested, but all the same, the results were good and consistent.
And having someone else on the farm to help out when needed was a good reassurance. And she always knew how to motivate me on those ‘dark days’ and was a constant good sense of fun. And after a few months, I felt I knew all I needed to about her.
“Tyler? You’re shaking and sweating so much, I can’t even hold your hand! Is something wrong?”
“No..Not since you came into my life. Everything is right. And I was wondering…Do you want to go on a…date with me tonight?”
My world exploded with a feeling of pure happiness when the words ‘Ok’ came out of her mouth. Our lips met for a quick gentle kiss before she giggled and pulled back saying;
“No kisses until are…date.”
I’d been on a few dates in my time, but none were even HALF as important as this. Everything had to be, just PERFECT on this date, after all…she was perfect.
And when I walked to the restaurant and saw her sitting there in the candle light, that was all I thought about..How perfect she was. It also made me feel very overdressed.
“Thanks for inviting me out Tyler…I was worried you would be..embarrassed by me.” I had never heard her sound unsure or unconfident about anything.
“You embarrass me? More like the other way around..You look so…stunning, all the boys eyes are on you.”
Before I could respond, she leaned closer, and I wrapped my arms around her smooth hips, pulling her so close, we were touching.
“What does the boy I actually care about think?”
“Do you need to ask? You’re beautiful.”
We enjoyed a simple meal together, joking around like we always do, it was a special kind of romance, we had formed a bond. A special bond filled with love.
And straight away we were back into the same routine, but after that night and idea had been brewing in my head, so one afternoon I asked her to tend to the garden while I…’went to sell produce’ when I really went to acquire an special item.
So when I returned, I planted a kiss on her cheek, and held her hand whispering in her ear.
“I need to ask you something..” I made sure we were in the exact spot that we officially first met and got on bended knee.
I produced the ring from a box, and spoke exactly what my heart wanted me to say.
“Luna, what can I say? You are different, and at times your so crazy you make me want to tear my hair out…But you’re beautiful. You know how to get to me, to comfort me, and make my life bright. We talk, we laugh, we kiss and I am in love with you. So please…Complete my life…Marry me Luna?”
I had never seen her so surprised which is saying something, as this girl was fascinated by the ‘moving picture box’ but it brought a tear to my eye, when she slid the ring on her finger, jumping up and down repeatedly saying “Yes!”
And before I know it, jumping on the spot wasn’t good enough, and she jumped into my arms instead.. Maybe that book could predict the future? As having muscles came in handy here.
“Can you believe it baby? Tomorrow night we will be husband and wife!” I had probably said that several times each hour, but every time I said it, it meant the day was closer and closer.
“Yeah, like you’ll let me forget it? Listen….We’ve known each other a long time…Can’t we…You know?”
She had pressed this query several times in the past month, and I kept telling her we would get that intimate…After the wedding, so I gently pushed her to the mattress.
“One more night Lu, I only have so much will power, why are you doing this to me?” I asked with a smirk.
“Well will you at least let me see you topless? You told me about this mark, yet I’ve never seen it..”
I couldn’t keep any secrets from my soon to be wife, so I showed her. She was the only girl I trusted enough with my strange secret, I would trust her with anything, and soon some heavy making out took place.
And after that my willpower to say no was really wavering.
“You know…It’s past midnight…So technically..” She started, I could only grin with response. I was about to give in to her request when there was a solid knock on the door.
I had to hastily pull on my clothes, while Luna stayed covered in the bed. She never said it out loud, but I felt she was afraid it was someone looking for her, so to reassure I went to the door, ready to protect her if needed.
Turns out I didn’t need to…It wasn’t an elf…Just a ghost of the past.
“Hey Tyler….Can I come in?”

Generation One–Tyler Ashworth 1.0
So I know a lot of you are probably wondering why I’m doing this. The reason being that I felt the Matthews were getting a little repeated, so wanted something to do, if I ever had a moment where I didn’t know what to do. Hence where this Rainbowcy/DITFT challenge, and yes, you may recognise the founder ;)
Who knew one phone call can change someone’s life forever? I certainly didn’t, until that call I received 5 days after my 21st birthday. My parents were dead.
Don’t get the wrong idea. I wasn’t sad or upset by this news. Only for the reason that my parents gave me up as a infant. I was placed in adoption for a long time, until eventually a couple in Bridgeport adopted me. I lived a happy carefree life, attended a normal school, went on to college, and met my girlfriend of 2 years, Garnet.
But as I said, I got a call from my parents lawyers. They had been travelling to France, exploring tombs and such when there was a cave in, and they died. But before they had, on my 18th birthday they had put my name down as the benefactor of their home, their business. Their farm.
Why should I? They abandoned me. But something I was proud of, was calling myself a ‘good’ person. I wanted to make them proud. Even if they gave me up.
My hands were trembling. Luckily Garnet noticed, and held on tightly. I could feel a wave of calm and confidence as she gently squeezed my hand. “It’s going to be ok, we’ll get through this together.”
But when we arrived, we were a little shocked. We were both raised in Bridgeport, the simple farming cottage we were presented with was a eye opener. I don’t know what I expected. But it defiantly wasn’t this. I expected lots of green crops, with machinery to do all the work, not this…wasteland.
The inside wasn’t much better either. Just a bedroom (I’m a guy, sharing a bed with Garnet was one of the few plus’) and a small bathroom with plumbing which never seemed to work, but I did notice a book on farming sitting on the side table.
Honestly? I had no idea about ANYTHING to do with farming so figured it would be best to read up on it. What I didn’t expect was the note left for me on the opening page.
Dearest Tyler,
The day that the social worker drove off with you in the backseat will forever be the moment I regret most. It wasn’t that we didn’t want or love you. We just simply couldn’t afford to raise a child, and we didn’t even consider aborting you. We knew you would be special, one of a kind.
We hope you never have to read this, that one day we will be reunited. But in case something tears us away from this world, we want you to know we love you, and leave you are farm. We’ve had some bad years, but it has been good to us. And we hope you make us proud, but we have never doubted that.
Love mom and dad x If you ever need us, just look inside your heart. It’s where we have been all along xx
It brought a tear to my eye. Sure I couldn’t JUST forgive them like that. It would take time, but I believed every word of what they said. So while I prepared for my first day out on the farm, Garnet offered to prepare us a ‘welcome’ meal with some of my parents crop. Their last crop.
It tasted great. Garnet was studying catering before I told her I was going to drop out and move here. And like the angel she was, she agreed to come with me. I can see us bringing this farm up and raising children here. Although she joked that she could never see me doing anything physical.
And so the next morning, at 5am I set to work planting my first crop. I decided to follow that book to the last detail, and it said something about the ‘earth goddess’ being most rewarding at this time. It all seemed silly, but I wanted to make them proud.
I leaned up and inspected my work.
“Perfect. Hurry up and grow little guy. Grow tall and strong!” Maybe I had been in the sun to long, but it felt good knowing I had planted my first crop, and done it right.
Weeks passed and we settled into routine. Or rather I did. The farm took up most of my time, and if I wasn’t farming, I was advertising to the locals, and at the same time trying to learn as much as I could about my parents. Slowly I saw less and less of Garnet.
“Ty? I was thinking…One day off won’t hurt right? We could go catch a film at the theatre? I just feel like we’ve…drifted.”
I had a feeling she felt I was ignoring her. But I wasn’t! I just had to make sure this worked, then work an everyday life into the routine.
“Babe, you know I can’t do that. The 3 month mark is the most delicate time for a crop. If it gets to much or to little water or even to much sun, we could lose the whole harvest!”
I heard her hmm and nod silent agreements, but I could tell she was miserable here and missing her old life.
“I’m going to go to bed, so I can get up early and maybe spend a LITTLE time with you.”
I deserved it, but it didn’t mean her little remark hurt any less. I watched the rest of the game before turning the TV off and creeping outside. After that scene I was in rush to get into bed beside her.
My foster dad would sometimes take me swimming in the summer. I would look forward to those trips month in advance. Just the feeling of peace and tranquillity soothed me. And the good thing about Riverview is there are plenty of places to fish.
But I knew I had to return sooner or later. She looked so beautiful in her sleep, like she always did. I just never told her that enough. I made a quiet vow to balance my time more evenly between the farm and her.
And as I climbed into bed she smiled and reached for my hand. I kissed her forehead and we snuggled into each other, and in to deep sleep.
I woke up even earlier to work on the farm. As she had an early night, Garnet woke up to. I told her it would take no more then 10 minutes, but they had started to sprout! So naturally, I took a lot longer then 10 minutes..
I went inside expecting to see her singing to those pop tunes she loves so much, preparing us breakfast, but she was nowhere to be found. I approached our bedroom door and heard sobbing. I knocked quietly until the sobs stopped and she opened the door.
“Baby…I’m so, so sorry. You mean the world to me. It’s just…I want to make them proud of me, you know? If you just hang on and stick with me a little longer, I’ll get this right.”
After that little scene I had to go take a cold bath to cool down. Truth was me and Garnet had been together a long time, and never even got close to….’that level of intimacy’ When I turned 18, a weird mark of a golden dagger appeared on my back. Sure I got drunk on occasion, but this wasn’t a tattoo, truth was, I didn’t want anyone to see it.
That very day I took her for a lovely dinner at the local Bistro. She seemed to enjoy herself, and promised me, she would continue to when we got home. But I had been working hard for a long time and just wanted to crawl into bed. So when I walked in to our room and found this…
“I mean, I know we don’t want a family yet. But we’ve been dating for a few years now. We’re ready right?”
I just sighed and looked to the bed, rubbing my eyes, a little bit in frustration.
“Now really isn’t a good time baby. I’m just to tired. Maybe another night..”
And then it happened. She snapped.
“It’s always ‘another night’ with me! Always! And I’m not talking about sex, I’m talking about attention! Don’t you love me anymore?I gave up EVERYTHING to move here!”
I didn’t need this. Not tonight of all nights. I rubbed my temple wondering what I could possibly say to get out of this situation.
“Of course I do! You know I love you! But you know that this is just something I need to do. So just accept that and deal.” Looking back, that was the wrong thing to say.
“Oh I have accepted…And I AM going to deal with it. We are THROUGH Tyler, I’m moving back to Bridgeport, TONIGHT!”
I begged and pleaded but to no avail. She had had enough, I had been a dick to her, and now I was getting what I deserved. The first love of my life, was drawing away in a yellow cab at midnight..
And I was left alone to fend for myself, I didn’t let her know it, but her support kept me going. Could I keep on going now she was gone?
Well that’s it for the intro! I personally am proud of this :) And a big thank you to my first husband Marcus for allowing me to berrify him ;) Please leave me feedback on how to improve!
